Silly Mistakes Mean You Need More Practice

If you understand the concept but you keep on making these silly mistakes… then I’m sorry to tell you, but you gotta shore up your basics.
If you can only do a skill some of the time, you’re not ready to stack harder skills on top of it.
Say you’re solving this really long algebra problem, and you know that you need to isolate the variable, and you know that to do that, you gotta carry out the order of operations in reverse order.
But you keep on making all these sign errors and multiplication mistakes.
Well, those little mistakes, they compound.
The more skills you stack on top, the more robust the foundations need to be to support this structure of skills that you’re trying to do.
And eventually, if your foundation cannot support you, you just won’t be able to keep on moving up.
You’ll hit a plateau.
