The Status Quo Isn’t Good Enough

We can’t help people who don’t think that they need help. And the reality is that most students aren’t even at grade level in math.

And a lot of schools have decided that they can just ignore the problem, that it’s okay if students are not prepared for the next grade or that it’s an unsolvable problem or that everybody has the same problem, so we don’t need to fix it.

I mean, hey, if you’re fine with the results, then sure, keep doing what you’re doing. But if most kids reach high school unable to do basic algebra, then maybe the status quo isn’t good enough.
