One of the most comforting things that a struggling math learner can hear is โ€œyouโ€™re missing a lot of foundational knowledge.โ€

โ€ฆ comforting? Why is that comforting? ๐Ÿ˜ณ

Because many struggling math learners just assume that they donโ€™t have the brainpower for math โ€“ when in fact, all theyโ€™re missing is prerequisite knowledge.

Sure, not everyone can make big mental leaps in math, but itโ€™s amazing the heights that students can reach if you just give them a properly scaffolded ladder to climb one step at a time. ๐Ÿชœ
