It’s kind of amusing how fake some university syllabi are.

Just because there’s all sorts of advanced stuff on the syllabus doesn’t mean you’re going to learn it or the class is even going to cover it.

Typically, whatever’s on the syllabus the last couple weeks before finals might as well not be on the syllabus at all.

If you want to get a sense of what a class actually covers, look at the assignments and exams from past years (if they’re available).

The syllabus is the “bark,” the actual problem sets / assessments are the “bite,” and in most cases, the “bark” is far more intense than the “bite.”
