How to Get High on Math

How to get high on math:

  1. Work problems until your brain is mush.
  2. Watch a math video that's out of your depth but has pretty animations.
  3. Philosophize, try to make sense of what you just saw.

You won’t have the background for a proper understanding, and your working memory will be too taxed to keep your logic on the rails, and your brain mush will make for a good “association stew,” so you’ll end up trying to bridge the gap in your understanding by making weird associations.

You can do this with other fields too.

But realize that steps 2 and 3 are not productive to learning. You can’t count them towards your actual study time.
