#1 study hack that not enough people leverage:

Whenever you’re about to look up a piece of info that you know you’ve seen before, just do yourself a favor and try your best to recall from memory. Don’t automatically open up the reference.

If you really can’t remember, open up the reference, peek at the info – just that specific piece of info that you were trying to remember, nothing else – close the reference, re-pull the info from memory, and try to proceed forward as far as possible without peeking back at the reference again.

Any sort of reference material should be treated like a spotter at the gym – the spotter is a last resort to get the weight up, only when you absolutely can’t get it up yourself. They’re your last resort and they only give you just enough help to get the weight up.
