Let’s say you’re an aspiring biologist, and you finished calculus in high school. Do you stop taking math in college?
No! No, no, no. Why not? Because biology is now a quantitative field.
And the people who can do the coolest things in biology and have the biggest impact? Well, they have both domain expertise and serious math and coding chops.
Almost every aspect of biology now involves reading DNA, the genetic code, and analyzing millions, if not billions of letters.
And if you wanna do this, you’re gonna need probability and statistics, linear algebra, coding…
Even differential equations become necessary if you want to model things like population growth, disease spread, how body structures form during development.
See, that’s the thing: modern biology is not just about microscopes and test tubes. It’s also math and data and computation.
