Getting an A on the test doesn’t necessarily mean that you’ve mastered the material.

You know, maybe you studied fractions all week and you crammed a week’s worth of material into just a few days, and then your teacher gave you a review sheet so you knew exactly what kinds of problems to expect, and everything was fresh in your mind?

You were kind of primed and ready for this performance.

But then, later on, everything kind of falls apart when you have to subtract two mixed numbers with different denominators and you have to remember all these different fraction manipulations that you didn’t just study the night before.

Can you still recognize what to do?

Like, without reviewing it first?

If not, then you didn’t master it.
